We arrived yesterday in advance basecamp after a slow trip from Kathmandu ino Tibet, whilst our basecamp staff acclimatised. A lack of yaks meant we could only bring half of our equipment from basecamp, with the rest due to arrive today or tomorrow. In the meantime we held our Puja ceremony this morning to ask for safe passage on the mountain, which will be needed given the unseasonably heavy snow conditions this year. We plan to climb to climb to camp 1 tomorrow and to force the route to camp 2 after that, if we can.
