Wow, what a scorcher it was this year.  I asked for as remote a destination as possible and was sent to White Cliffs and Wilcannia.  Crikey!!  46C.  Sweltering.  But that didn’t stop the locals coming out in force to celebrate the day.  It was a hoot to meet everyone and they couldn’t have been more welcoming.   The drive out from Broken Hill and back was very special too.  Apart from the heat haze, I hadn’t realised just how many wild goats there are in the outback.  Mmm, goat curry…..
