Denison River Packrafting

Another epic Tasmania white water pack rafting trip completed.  For this one, we warmed up on the Andrew River (no, really!) then crossed Lake Pedder to the Denison mountain range.  With out light packs it was relatively quick and easy to traverse the range down to the remote and rarely visited Denison River.  From there we rafted for 5 days down the river until it met with the Gordon River.  This river was in full flood due to the upstream dam releasing vast quantities of stored water.  We flew down the Gordon and past the Franklin River to end at the usual pick up point on the Gordon.  The Denison was a truly special river as it is so pristine and receives so few visitors.  Another memborable adventure with my mate Liam.
