The last month has seen an exciting new direction for me.  After completing my Yachtmaster’s qualifications, I journeyed to Iceland where I joined a 45 aluminium sloop for a circumnavigation of Iceland.  While the summer was apparently the wettest in living memory (bringing bad weather with me is my superpower), the sailing was great fun.  Exploring remote fjords, climbing precipitous bluffs, catching cod and spotting arctic foxes were all part of the adventure.  Can’t wait to get back to high latitudes again.
